A little update...

When did it get to be December? I have a week left of school/finals and I really don't know where the semester went. So it was good to go visit the parents last week, but I don't miss living with them. It is not that anything really went wrong, I am just so used to living by myself now and it was a little hard to adjust to. I got off work last Tuesday and drove home in time to go to dinner with Erica and Brandon. It had been way too long since I had seen them and we had a great time at dinner. Best part of the night...we didn't pay for anything. Yay for Erica's dad being the manager at Papadeux's!

Wednesday I got to sleep late then I got up to help my mom with some stuff around the house. My only request for Thanksgiving food was a chocolate chip pecan pie...I am not a big fan of Thanksgiving food so I enjoy the desserts. Well, she forgot to go get me one so she suggested that I make one. Anyone that knows me knows that I CAN NOT COOK. Well, I attempted to make a pie...it was actually edible to my surprise. Still not as good as Cracker Barrel's but it wasn't bad. It was good to see the family since I'm not at home as much anymore. Since I was going to have to be up early on Thursday to go visit my dad I decided to just go over Wednesday night and spend the night.

Thursday I spent the day with Dad, Kenya, and Britt...and Britt's new dog. I'm jealous, it was cute and I wanted to steal him. Kenya's sister and husband came over for brunch and then later that afternoon we went over to my dad's family. You know, some things never change but it was alright, I was really ready to leave though...too much family time I guess. I left and went back over to my mom's house and that was about it.

I was suppose to get up Friday morning and go shopping with Britt and Kenya but I couldn't really go to sleep Thursday night and was way too tired. I stayed around the house and attempted to start on my research paper but really I just slept. Thursday my uncles had offered me their Dallas Stars tickets for Friday night so I took them. I hadn't been to a stars game since my freshman year...I forgot how much I love going to games. Anyway, I went to meet Heather and Dawn Friday night at Heathers apartment. We then went to dinner, then the stars game, then Brandon Rhyder at Gilley's, and then Heather figured out that I had never been to Adair's so we made a quick trip there after Gilley's. It was a good night and a nice escape from the craziness of the family.

Saturday and Sunday were spent writing my paper...okay really it was more like avoiding writing my paper but oh well. Finally decided to drive back to CS Sunday afternoon and attempted to get the paper done. It was really hard to write a paper about something I absolutely hate...but oh well its done. (I finished Monday afternoon at 2pm...it was due at 4) Nothing like a little procrastination.

Monday after I turned my paper in I came home and quickly got ready because Susanna and I went to Austin to see Blu play an acoustic show. I had never seen just him by himself so I was really excited. We got there around 7:45ish and met up with everyone. Shauna, Troy, and Sarah were there too so we all talked a bit before Blu finally went on. It was an amazing show even though he didn't sing Maybe I because he said he didn't remember the words. Oh and nothing like being called out for being an Aggie in the middle of Austin thanks to Shauna. Blu played for about 2 hours and after saying our goodbyes Shauna asked if we were going back to CS or if we wanted to go out for a beer somewhere. Well after a little while we all came to the decision that we were going to a bar on 5th street for a bit. So Me, Susanna, Shauna, Blu, and 2 of his friends left and went to the bar. It was nice to just hang out for a bit...I wasn't tired while we were out but I think i kept forgetting that we had a 2 hour drive back. Got home around 3:30 and was at work at 8. I've decided that I'm too old for weekday shows but it was totally worth it. Now back to the life of studying and working...4 finals left and I'm finished for the semester!!
