2008...

I’ve been meaning to sit and write a blog several times the past few weeks but every time I do something comes up. So here is my 2008 in review and maybe I’ll update what has been going on in a few days.

I started the year seeing EYB at Gilley’s with Mel, Dawn, and Deidre

Saw my first George Strait concert in Austin

Started the second semester of my junior year

EYB at Harry’s in February…lots of alcohol but it was a really good night

Went and saw The Producers with Erica at MSC Opas

Went to our beach house in Port Aransas for spring break

Interviewed and got an internship at Mesina Hoff Winery but it ended up not working out

Tom Webb benefit in Luling with Emily

One of my favorite shows of the year was EYB and RJ at HOB in Dallas with Dawn, Deidre, Lori, and Sarah

No Justice at The Hall with Melanie and Kayla

Django came to visit several times just to hang out which was nice, the nights always ended up being interesting but those were some of my best nights of the year

Ryan James played The Hook at Lake Bryan several times during the summer and those were always fun

Spend a lot of time hanging out with Erica

Lots of group projects for school, but I made a really great friend because of it

Django, Adam, and Stoney Acoustic at Schotzi’s with Erica, her first concert with me and here first comment to me after I introduced her to some people was “am I your only friend not in a band”

Little Sarah came to visit and Kayla and I took her to see Jack in Huntsville and then out on Northgate

I started a new job at the Division of Marketing and Communications at A&M at the end of April

I left my job at the dance studio, it was a good decision but I still miss teaching

NJ and BR at The Fox

Erica graduated from A&M and moved

I ordered my Aggie Ring in May

Took water aerobics, archery, and a diversity class during the summer

Dance Recital

Helped plan and organize a marketing conference

Wolfdance

Django came back to CS to visit a lot during the summer

Listening to a cd in the back of RJs car

JJW in Bryan with Danielle then DW at Schotzis

EYB in Waco with Kayla and Bri

BR in Houston with Renee

Started clogging again

Rangers Game with Erica and Brandon then EYB afterwards

Ashley and Andy got married

Ronald and Nikki got married

Dave Matthews Band and EYB with Dawn

EYB in Kansas with Susanna

Ziegfest

Started my senior year

JB&J was finally released which of course was my favorite CD of the year

I finally got my Ring!!!

NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway and EYB…those really just don’t go together but whatever

2008 was a really good year for me; I am finally doing well in school and although it has taken some time, things with friends are really good. There were definitely some things that I wish would have happened defiantly but everything worked out and it has made me a stronger person. The hardest thing this year has been people moving away and not having my close friends nearby, but I had work and school to keep me busy and have learned how to be more independent. Thanks to everyone that was a part of making 2008 a great year for me and I hope that I get to spend a lot more time with all of you in 2009.
