Well I started my last semester of college, scary huh? I'm only taking 2 classes, but they are going to take a lot of my time because they both have a lot of writing assignments. I love to write though so its okay. I'm taking a Media Industries class that is all about radio, print media, and television. I'm really looking forward to the class, as a matter of fact my first assignment is to listen to the radio for 2 hours and write a 3 page analysis of what I listen to. Sounds fun to me! The other class I am taking is Communication organizations and societies, it is more of a current events/how current businesses work. So far it seems pretty interesting and it is nice to have a prof that is passionate about what he is teaching because it makes class a little more enjoyable.

I am only working 15 hours a week at my job on campus and with only taking 2 classes I have a lot of free time. To be honest I don't like it at all. When I'm not busy I tend to do nothing. I knew that was going to be the case, so I applied for an internship at the Ice Rink in CS. Well I got a call on Monday from the manager and they really want me to work for them even though I wouldn't be doing what they typically want from interns. (usually they hire freshman/sophomores with no experience for 40 hours a week). So I am going to talk to the manager on Friday and work out details and will probably be working there about 20 hours a week. It will probably start out unpaid, but they said it would probably be paid after a month and there would possibly be a full time position available after I graduate. I am not exactly sure what I will be doing yet, but I will be helping the PR/Marketing department with Ads, brochures, newsletters, the website, and writing press releases for the hockey teams and other events. It is not completely a done deal, but hopefully it will work out.So with work, the internship, school, and teaching dance I'm probably going to be working/going to school about 45-50 hours a week. It is going to be a lot, but hopefully it will be good because I'm pretty excited about everything.
